Description

A stunning quality French "plum pudding" mahogany kingsize antique bed. The headboard having finely carved acorn finials with Vitruvian scrolled carved frieze, above a wonderfully figured "plum pudding" mahogany panel flanked by carved and fluted free standing corinthian columns. Supported on turned feet with brass castors. The side rails again in stunning quality mahogany with central parquetry inlaid panels and floral carved detail. The foot board with finely carved finials, Vitruvian scrolled frieze above a central rectangular parquetry inlaid panel with finely carved floral detail, "plum pudding" mahogany panels and again flanked by free standing corinthian columns, supported on turned feet with brass castors. French circa 1880-1900

Dimensions: 86" long x 70" wide x 54" high at head board x 39" high foot board (internal measurements 64" wide x 82" long)
