Fowey River Antiques has dated this piece to the 1960s.
The fully automatic watch movement is beautifully made, totally reliable and as you can see it's in fabulous like new condition.
The dial is in perfect condition with gilt hands and baton markers and it has the date facility at the 12 o'clock which is really quite rare, it also has the Longines logo on the crown. A new glass has been fitted and the case has been professionally polished.
It comes complete with a new high quality black box.
As you would expect the watch is fully marked on the dial, movement and case.
It comes complete with a new premium quality black leather strap.
Longines are one of the most exclusive watchmakers in the world and this watch certainly has that understated elegance that whispers class.
The watch is a full size gents measuring 35mm in diameter not including the crown.
There are light scratches to the back of the case caused by a previous watchmaker when opening the case but obviously this cannot be seen when worn and does not detract form the watch at all.
The watch has been fully serviced and is guaranteed to be a genuine Longines in all respects.
It has been professionally serviced and overhauled by Alan Williams FBHI, the process is highly detailed and meticulous.
It is stripped down to its component parts and each part is examined under a microscope for signs of wear, any worn parts are replaced with genuine manufacturers parts. Each part is then thoroughly cleaned in a three stage ultrasonic cleaning process.
The movement is then fully assembled using manufacturers approved oils and lubricants and is carried out in a clean room environment. The movement is then checked and adjusted for accurate time keeping. The cases are polished and sealed.
Obviously this is not a cheap or quick process which is why our watches are sometimes a little more expensive than others but you can be assured our watches will give you reliable and dependable service and will not require further service for many years.
The watch movement comes with a full 1 year warranty.
