Spectacular Anglo Indian Davenport

Description

This large, solid teak davenport is profusely carved with Indian deities, animals, mythological beasts, dragons and peacocks. To each side are cupboard doors which open to reveal 5 drawer interiors all with carved fronts. The top superstructure with carved fret dividers and lift up stationary compartment. The fall opens to a void interior with 3 pigeon holes. The carving of this stunning davenport would have taken many 100's of hours to complete and it is in very good original condition.
