A Burr Walnut Victorian Period Antique Coffee Table (Adapted)

Description

An exquisite burr walnut Victorian Period antique coffee table (adapted). Having a shaped top veneered in stunning burr walnut and having floral marquetry boxwood inlaid detail, the frieze also veneered in burr walnut and banded in kingwood. Supported on twin turned walnut columns with beautiful carved detail. With carved and swept cabriole supports, brass and porcelain castors, united by a turned and carved walnut stretcher. This is an extremely fine example of what was quite a common place Victorian table, the choice of veneers and quality of carving is exceptional. English circa 1860-1870

Dimensions: 38.5" wide x 22" deep x 20" high

Condition: This table is in stunning condition, re-polished in our workshops. This table has been adapted from a superb quality side table, reduced in height to form a coffee table.
