Antique Silver Syren Pocket Watch, 1919

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique silver Syren pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is ticking away strongly and the time keeping is good to within around one to two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Syren.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the screw-on case back for Birmingham 1919, with a case maker's mark for the watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The front of the case is in good condition. The case back has a little unevenness and some marking but the condition of the watch overall is good.

The glass is in good condition with just minor marking.

The white enamel dial is in lovely condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
