A charming and iconic ART DECO SCULPTURE by Hagenauer, depicting :"The Singing Sailor".

Of nickel-plated bronze and ebonised wood, this delightful figure shows a stylised sailor, hands on hips, sining bawdily, his beret at a jaunty angle. 9.5ins high. Austrian. Karl Hagenauer was born in Vienna in 1898 and died there in 1956.
