The tone and variety of the tunes are impressive, and the box is complete with its original key and hand-written tune sheet affixed to the inside of the lid.

David Lecoultre established a factory in Geneva in 1810, at first making watches and later specialising in music boxes. He is known to be responsible for many of the important improvements that can be found on good quality music boxes.
