A Harlequin Set of 8 Ash & Elm Lancashire Spindle Back Dining Chairs

Description

A harlequin set of 8 ash and elm Lancashire spindle back dining chairs including two carver armchairs. Each chair of traditional form with a wavy top rail and a double row of turned spindles (triple row to the carver armchairs). Having traditional rushed seats raised on turned supports with pad and ball feet, turned bobbin front stretchers and double side stretchers. The carver chairs with open swept arms. Of superb colour and patination. English circa 1840

Dimensions: Armchairs 24" wide x 17" deep x 42.5" high Stand chairs 19" wide x 15" deep x 38" high (seat heights 17")

Condition: This set of chairs are in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Of wonderful colour and patination throughout. There is some past extinct woodworm to one of the carver chairs which has been treated and is not detrimental in any way to the chairs.
