Gents 1950s Curtis Hand Winding Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A handsome vintage 1950s gents Curtis wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, with 17 jewels, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours. The movement is stamped 17 jewels, Swiss.

The watch measures 34.5 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The chrome plated case has light surface marks from use and light wear to the edges. The screw-on case back is stainless steel and has light surface marks from use.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Curtis, 17 Rubis with Swiss made at the bottom. The dial has faint surface marking although hardly noticeable to the naked eye. It has its original gold coloured hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
