Gents 1950s Normana Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Normana wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Normana.

The watch measures 22mm wide across the lugs and 26mm high excluding the lugs. The case is rose gold plated and there is some marking and wear to the plate in places, and some rubbing across the fronts of the lugs but overall it has a fabulous vintage look with the shaped lugs being a particularly handsome feature. The case back is stainless steel; it has some scratches.

The curved lens has a 5mm scratch that you can see with the naked eye, and some other lighter, lesser marks.

The dial is signed Normana, AntiMagnetic, Swiss. It has a good 1950s Art Deco look and is in nice condition.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
