Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The Fireplace is Cast Iron, the fire opening has double corinthian columns on either side and the panels above are decorated in the Robert Adams style with swags and flowers, the detail of these is very fine indeed

The Fire place is in Good condition structurally, it has been painted and this is somewhat flakey and could do with being stripped
The mantle shelf can be removed but otherwise please be aware that this is a very heavy piece,

The fireplace is 51” high, 74” wide and 14” deep, the fire inset is 37” wide and 38” high
