The central bevelled mirrored doors opening to reveal ample hanging space and further brass hooks and with the original patinated strap-work hinges. The base with three quarter sawn oak drawers each retaining their original rathbone handles and escutcheons, raised on stile supports with shaped brackets. The accompanying dressing table with similar copper panels, hallmark Shapland & Petter heart shaped motifs and the original rathbone hardware again supported on shaped splayed feet. All the locks stamped SP&B for Shapland & Petter Barnstaple. Made from the finest oak as you would expect and in stunning original condition, superb colour and patina to both the timber and hardware. Rare to find such iconic furniture of this period in this condition. English circa 1900
