A Good Mahogany George III Period Bookcase of Narrow Proportions

Description

A good mahogany George III Period bookcase of narrow proportions. The upper section with a moulded cornice and Greek key detail and with a Chippendale blind fret cut frieze, above twin solid mahogany rectangular glazed doors with horizontal glazing bars, enclosing five sliding adjustable oak and mahogany shelves and with solid cuban mahogany sides. The lower section having two rectangular oak lined drawers with brass swan neck handles, oval brass escutcheons, solid cuban mahogany sides and supported on the original shaped mahogany bracket feet. English circa 1770-1780

Dimensions: 33" wide x 14" deep x 84" high

Condition: This bookcase is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Of pleasing narrow proportions

A good mahogany George III Period bookcase of narrow proportions.
