A very decorative French Gothic table clock by the famous maker Japy Freres.
The detailing is sharp and finely executed and the clock has a very good, clean and bright finish.
The dial is enamel on copper with a cast brass centre and is complete with original blued steel hands.
The Japy Freres French movement is of the highest quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully serviced by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the movie below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!
Condition of the case is excellent with clean and bright finish and there are no losses. The urn is ever so slightly distorted. The dial is also in excellent condition with no chips or scratches.
Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
