Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The mirror is set in a gold Arts and Crafts frame. The frame has that real genuine distressed look, it would originally have been gilt, you can still see plenty of the gold but red oxide undercoat and the white gesso are showing through

The mirror frame is in good and sturdy, the glass is bevelled and in good condition with a very little foxing, and the lettering is pretty sound with only minor scuffing
The Mirror Frame is 56” high, 49” wide
