Antique 1919 Syren Silver Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique Syren silver pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around three minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Syren. The movement is protected by an inner dust cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the case back for London (import mark), 1919, with an importer's mark for George Stockwell. The front of the case is in good condition; the sides and case back have some unevenness.

The watch has a replacement plastic lens which is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has a few hairline cracks towards the edge. Blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.
