Description

A magnificent English Victorian biscuit box, the frame made from silver plate with to very grand handles each side and four feet leading up to a mystical face in front of column.

The underside is marked with the makers mark for Cooper Brothers of Sheffield. The crystal box is hefty beautifully cut with a star-cut on the underside. The collar and hinged lid are wonderfully engraved and the centre of the lid mounted with a magnificent finial.

All in excellent order and dating to around 1880. The footprint spans 8" across, the lid having a diameter measuring 5 1/4" ; standing 8 1/2" tall.
