The kneehole with shaped frieze and applied carved beading. The top with original dark green leather writing surface which has blind and gold tooling. The super structure with 2 "Carlton House" style serpentine shaped compartments inlaid with laurel wreaths and ribbons. The lids lift to reveal stationary compartments and pen trays. The bevel edged mirror with shaped and moulded top and inlaid with satinwood boxwood and various stained woods. The whole standing on tall shaped legs with pointed toes. Locks stamped S. P. B. (Shapland & Petter, Barnstable).

Condition - very good, no speckling to mirror, with keys.
