An Oak Late Victorian Period Pedestal Desk by Gillows of Lancaster

Description

An oak Late Victorian Period Antique pedestal desk by Gillows Of Lancaster. Having a solid oak rectangular top with an inset red leather writing surface with gilt tooled detail. The central rectangular oak lined frieze drawer is stamped Gillow and flanked by twin pedestals, each having four graduating oak lined drawers retaining the original locks and keys. With the original brass Georgian style drop handles and back plates. The solid oak panelled sides and back all supported on solid oak plinths with concealed castors. This desk can be used free standing in the centre of a room. Superb quality as you would expect from the premier cabinet makers Gillow & Co Of Lancaster. English circa 1880-1890

Dimensions: 48" wide x 24" deep x 30" high (knee hole 18" wide x 24" high)

Condition: This desk is in superb original condition, cleaned and waxed
