For sale this rare WW2 Junghans BO-UK1 14/0125 German cockpit chronograph, circa 1942. For ref only please refer below. The clock is in original unrestored condition retaining its original glass,now crazed, original luminous paint to dial and hands, The numbers on the fiber bezel inside are there but faded condition. The clock has just been fully overhauled and is in full working order. Size approx 56.5mm by 75mm. A rare version. An ideal desk clock for the man who has everything.
Junghans BoUk-1 pFl.374 14/0125: aircraft clock for the pilot''s instrument panels of all German aircrafts in WWII! 36h, with chronograph function. Early bezel version with complete hour numbering and 30 min counter with side pin or down pin for time adjustment. Fiber bezel version with 3-6-9-12 numerals, 15 min counter and down pin or pull knob for time adjustment. Probably used by a pilot of a Heinckel HE 111 bomber, the BoUk-1 mounted in the stearing head. The B0-UK-1 is more rare than the common B...0-UK.
- Also used in the fighter plane Focke-Wulf FW 190 right side instrument panel.When wrist chronographs Tutima or Hanhart were scarce and no panel iclock installed, there were rarely BoUk-1 mounts with long leather straps to be fitted on the pilot leg.
Information about the clocks. Junghans is an old German company with a long tradition.http://www.junghans.de/history.htmlJunghans clocks were made in the beginning of the forties.(1940s). This type was the clock in the cockpit used in almost all aircrafts from German Wehrmacht (German Armed Forces) in World War II.After the war the German Airforce assumed the existing clocks and they are in part still in use (Made in Germany).The clocks were part of the cockpit and don''t have a wrist band.GEBR.
