The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
A winding key is included. The nice quality jewelled fusee movement is numbered 31863. The movement has its original dust cover.

The watch measures 51.9 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The silver case has Chester hallmarks for 1892 with the case makers mark I.H.( possibly John Hammon ) The case is in nice condition.

The watch lens is glass and has faint surface marks although hardly noticeable but otherwise it is in nice condition.
The white enamel dial has a faint hairline crack between the sub second dial and 5 o'clock but otherwise it is in nice condition.
