A Mahogany & Gilt Late Victorian Period Armchair

1900 - 1920
Description

A beautiful mahogany and gilt Late Victorian Period antique armchair. With a curved and shaped back, carved and gilded harebell detail and a central gilded ribbon. The swept arms with gilt hi-lighted detail and the shaped feather filled cushion, newly re-upholstered in a Zoffany Arabesque fabric above the arcaded channelled front seat rail. Supported on four elegant turned fluted legs with further gilt detail and applied gilded roundels. English circa 1890-1900

Condition: The frame is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed. Newly re-upholstered in our workshops
