1925 Silver Swiss Stem Winding Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

A vintage 1925 silver Swiss stem winding pocket watch.

The watch has a stem-winding movement which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to around 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours. The high grade jewelled movement has a swan neck regulator and is stamped Swiss Made.

The watch measures 48.8 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the loop. The silver case has Birmingham hallmarks for 1925 with the case makers mark A.L.D. (Dennison Watch Case Company). The case some wear to the engine turning and a mild unevenness to the back but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch lens is glass and is in nice condition with only the odd minor mark.

The white enamel dial has faint hairline cracks although very hard to see; otherwise it is in nice condition with its original blued steel hands.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
