Near Pair of Victorian Gilt & Marble Torcheres C1890

Description

These two similar, well-detailed ANTIQUE GILT TORCHERES with WHITE MARBLE INSETS date from circa 1890.

Although there are some differences in decoration and a slight difference in height they live well together and were likely to be made by the same firm.

They are ideal as Lamp Tables or Pedestals for Vases, Figures or Sculptures.

There are old losses and repairs as would be expected but the overall appearance is very appealing and they are sturdy. One of the marble insets has been repaired (please see photograph).

Height 1: 35 inches (89 cm)

Height 2: 36.25 inches (92 cm)

Diameter of both: 13.25 inches (23.5 cm)
