This is a good quality solid sterling silver serving or table spoon.
Assayed in Exeter 1811, the spoon is clearly hallmarked on the reverse of the handle, with the maker's mark of William Welch II. Exeter Assay Office closed in 1882 and silver with the Exeter Assay mark is becoming more collectable as time goes on.
The spoon is in good condition, with no splits or other damage to the silver. There are initials on the finial.
