Vintage 1950s Omega Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Omega wrist watch.

The watch has a calibre 266 hand-winding movement, 17 jewels, which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Omega, Swiss and it has the serial number 14,334,255 which dates it back to the mid 1950s.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The stainless steel case is in good condition with just general light surface marks. The snap-on case back has the Omega triangular stamp inside, together with the case reference 2495 which is correct for the calibre 266 movement. The winding crown has the Omega logo.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has the raised Omega logo and is also signed Omega, Swiss Made. Gold coloured number markers, dauphine shaped hands and a subsidiary seconds dial. There is fairly light freckling across the dial.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
