Chippendale Period Chest on Chest or Tallboy

Description

A smashing mid 18th century mahogany chest on chest. This is a super quality piece made from Cuban mahogany and all oak lined. It is completely original including handles and matching escutcheons. It has a nice old deep patination. The top has fluted canted corners and a lovely typical Chippendale feature at the base of them ( see the last photo)

It is a good size - not too big. It is in good condition. We have put new runners on all the drawers t ensure they run smoothly.

A classic early Georgian piece.

The height is 72" (183cm)

The width across the base is 41" (104cm) the max width which is across the feet and cornice is just over 42" (108cm)
