A Pair of 18th Century Quatrefoil Silver Tea Tongs.

A rare pair of mid 18th Century silver tea tongs. These are an interesting variation on the more usual design of tea tongs, with a quatrefoil motif to the arms and the original 'pricked initials' engraved the the mechanism. A wonderful and rare collector's item.

Hallmarks :- Sterling Lion and maker's mark only to each handle. (part marking is not at all unusual for this period, especially on smaller items).
