Gents 1940s Hand-winding Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A gents 1940s wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement, with 15 jewels, which is ticking away and the time keeping is good to within around one minute or so over a 24 hour period.

The watch measures 34mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is plated and there is some marking and signs of age but overall the condition is acceptable for a 1940s piece. The lens is in good condition.

The dial is stamped 15 Jewels, AntiMagnetic, Swiss Made. There is light marking across the dial but it does have good vintage appeal with copper coloured numbers and hands, and a subsidiary seconds dial.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
