The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1950s.
The watch is a good size for a 1950s piece at 36mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case has a handsome and charming look. Originally the case would have been gold plated (apart from the stainless steel back), but the plate has been polished off the centre section leaving gold plate just on the bezel; it gives an interesting individual look. The lens has the odd minor mark but overall the condition is good.

The dial is signed Arkalitone, Ancre 17 Rubis, AntiMagnetico, Swiss Made - an unusual mixture of languages which suggests the Swiss movement was cased in Spain for export to the UK. The dial has some minor marking but is very acceptable and overall has great vintage appeal.
A new black leather strap has been fitted.
