Antique English Oak & Brass Wire Letter Holder C.1900

Description

A charming late Victorian double compartment letter rack or holder, marked to the front with a little embossed brass label "Post".

Made from solid English Oak, the wood is teamed up with the highly sought-after brass wire mesh front, all present and correct (many examples have damage and loss to this attractive basket weave).

The back is not damaged or split, merely manufactured from two strips of Oak.

Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1900, the wonderful desk-top caddy remains in superb condition.

The footprint measures 9" x 3 3/8" x 7" tall at rear; each compartment measures 3 7/8" in width.
