A set of four Victorian Period fox hunting prints in birds eye maple frames by Alken The prints depicting the Grand Leicestershire fox hunt are numbered one to four. Showing various stages of the hunt and originally drawn by Alken junior but engraved by Hunt. Published in London in 1839. Having gilt slip and housed in the original birds eye maple frames English circa 1839

Henry Thomas Alken (12 October 1785 – 7 April 1851) was an English painter and engraver chiefly known as a caricaturist and illustrator of sporting subjects and coaching scenes. His most prolific period of painting and drawing occurred between 1816 and 1831.

Condition: These prints are in excellent original condition, some minor discolouration and veneer loss to corners of frames.
