The Police Minstrels was a concert party consisting of members of the London Metropolitan Police.
They performed at police stations to entertain the officers, and also gave public concerts in aid of police charities. The Minstrels wore evening dress and blackface makeup, in the manner of the typical minstrel shows of the period.

Both medals were awarded to W Parish, one for 10 years' service in May 1900 and the other for five years' service in December 1906. Both medals measure approximately 4.5cm x 4.5cm and they weigh 52.8g combined.
