Gents 1950s Allaine Automatic Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Allaine wrist watch.

The watch has an automatic movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is rose gold plated; there is some wear to the plate on the lugs and on the angled edges but luckily the base metal is gold in colour so the wear does not show too much to the naked eye. There is some wear to the plate on the winding crown. The screw-on case back is stainless steel.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The dial has super vintage appeal. It is signed Allaine, 25 Rubis, Automatic, Incabloc, Waterproof, Unbreakable Mainspring. It has an interesting textured dial, original dauphine shaped hands and a centre seconds hand. There is some discolouration to the dial but overall it has a great look.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
