A Mahogany Arts & Crafts Period Scottish School Display Cabinet

1900 - 1920
Description

A mahogany Arts & Crafts Period display cabinet, Scottish school. The upper section with a small raised galleried back and stylised moulded detail to the edge. The central rectangular door with coloured leaded glass stylised panel, flanked by two plain glazed doors which open to reveal a plate glass shelved interior and having a silk lined back and base. The lower section with a rectangular mahogany lined frieze drawer having circular stylised brass handles and herringbone chequer band inlay, with two pewter inlaid stylised panels and mother of pearl tulip shaped motifs. The whole supported on square tapering legs with block feet. Possibly designed by George Walton, but certainly having a Scottish influence. Scottish circa 1900

Dimensions: 50" wide x 18" deep x 60" high

Condition: This cabinet is in excellent condition, cleaned and waxed. The silk lining has been re-placed.
