Vintage Gents 1950s Mudu Doublematic Wrist Watch

A vintage gents 1950s MuDu Doublematic wrist watch.

The watch has an automatic-winding movement, with 25 jewels, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around 2 - 3 minutes over 24 hours and the date changes as it should. To initially set the date turn the hands clockwise to the required date. The movement is stamped 25 jewels, Swiss made.

The watch measures 33.4 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and 41.6 mm including the lugs. The rose gold plated has light surface marks from use and very light wear to the edges. The screw-on case back is stamped MuDu Doublematic, stainless steel back, Swiss made, incabloc, automatic and waterproof although with any vintage watch I would not rely on it being waterproof.

The lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed MuDu, 25 jewels, Doublematic, unbreakable mainspring with Swiss made at the bottom. The dial is in nice condition with only the odd faint surface mark. It has its original hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.
