The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1940s.
The movement carries the serial number 6226929 which dates it back to 1941.

The watch measures 30mm wide excluding the winding crown and 30mm high excluding the lugs. The case is 9 carat gold and there are hallmarks inside the case back for Birmingham 1941, together with the case maker's mark for the English watch case maker A L Dennison. The case is in good condition and the winding crown has the Longines name.

The lens has a very light scratch but it is not too noticeable to the naked eye; otherwise it looks very good.
The watch has a white enamel dial; there are some hairline cracks. The luminous detail has come out of the hands over the years.
