Elmgarden has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The top of the chest is a bit lighter than the rest of the chest it may have been in the sunlight and this would cause bleaching but it has the most wonderful patina, the chest has bracket feet and a shaped apron at the bottom.
The chest is of very solid construction it has no creaks, splits or woodworm and the drawers run very smoothly, but there are some ink stains on the top
The chest measures 35" high 34" wide and 19" deep
