White Star Line Steamer Trunk C.1900.

Description

Fabulous antique steamer trunk c.1900 branded for the celebrated the White Star Line shipping company, of Titanic fame. Of wicker with heavy black tar cloth covering and leather and brass fittings. Painted on each side (and underneath) with White Star Line logo. Though there is some obvious wear and the lock no longer works, condition is surprisingly good, with original lining fabric and top tray and an attractive points of the compass thread-work decoration to the inside of the lid.
