Puckerings has dated this piece to the 1910s.
What is so unusual and special about this example is the highly decorative silver fittings, the hinged top lid being pierced or reticulated, the silver flowing down the shoulders of the bottle, all beautifully engraved with floral and foliate vignettes.

The silver is fully hallmarked for Birmingham 1910, Edwardian in era together with the initials for the well renowned silversmith, Henry Matthews.
Excellent condition with a diameter measuring approximately 3" and standing 3 3/4" tall.
