Gents 1934 Silver Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A gents 1930s silver wrist watch.

The watch has a Swiss hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the fixed wire lugs. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the snap-on case back for London 1934, with a mark for the importer Charles William Guignard. The case has some marks, and some unevenness to the back, but overall it is very acceptable for such an early piece.

The plastic lens is in good condition.

The enamel dial has a nice vintage look with handsome blued steel hands. There are some hairline cracks radiating from the centre.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.
