Antique Furniture Direct has dated this piece to the 1750s.
It is a large and very heavy piece made of solid oak and stands on ogee bracket feet. Each drawer has a working brass lock and it comes with a working key (which works in all of the locks). Dating from circa 1780.

Construction/Wood:
Oak / mahogany cross banding
Condition Report:
Solid and sturdy. Nice age and patina to the oak. Some edging missing from the top left drawer front and bottom drawer. Old repairs to the mahogany cross-banding to the top. Some small splits and other general age related wear. Some old worm holes to the feet which have been thoroughly treated with worm killer as a precaution.
