Youlls Antiques has dated this piece to the 1860s.
A large French gilt mirror of Louis Philippe period, of landscape , rather than portrait shape,( always difficult to find) with original mercury glass mirror, a little foggy, fairly typical of this age and actually gives rather a nice effect. Gilt frame also nicely rubbed, giving a very decorative effect. Measuring 65" by 31"and dating to around 1860.
