Gents 1950s Omega Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A handsome gents 1950s Omega wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 266, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Omega, 17 Jewels, Swiss and it has the serial number 14,479,167 which dates it back to 1954/55.

The watch measures 32.5mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is stainless steel. The front and the sides are in good condition; the snap on case back has scratches. The inside of the case back has the Omega triangular stamp, and the winding crown has the Omega logo.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial has the applied Omega logo and is also signed Omega, Swiss Made. Dauphine shaped hands, typical of the 1950s era, and a subsidiary seconds dial. There is some freckling across the dial.

A new brown leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
