Each piece is marked for the silversmith William Howe and Co. of Sheffield.

The blades of each knife is beautifully decorated with an engraved fish amongst a variety of marine foliage.
The top of the case is mounted with a sterling silver presentation plaque with the silversmith's initials for McInnes Brothers and an engraved presentation message dated 1885.
Excellent condition, each knife measures 9" in length, each fork measuring 7 3/4"; the box measuring 15 1/2" x 10 3/4".
