A fine quality French Clock by Vincenti & Co of Paris, circa 1880 - retailed by Hampton & Sons London.

The finely figured red tortoiseshell case with cast brass ormolu mounts.

Width 7.5" at the widest point

The elegant waisted red tortoiseshell case with fine quality original gilded brass mounts.

The tortoiseshell in perfect condition with beautiful shine and patina.

The enamelled convex dial decorated in a cartouche style with Roman and Arabic numerals,

The fully restored 8 day spring driven pendulum movement with Brocot device for adjusting the time keeping.

Striking the hours and the passing of the half hour on a curled blued steel gong.
