A good quality Georgian 30 hour oak & mahogany longcase clock by William Hutchinson of Retford, circa 1795.

The beautifully figured quarter sawn oak and mahogany case of slender proportions with swan-neck pediment hood.

Crossbanded with mahogany and inlaid with fan decoration to the hood, trunk and base.

Turned and fluted columns to the hood, with matching quarter columns to the trunk.

The well painted original arched japanned dial with painted and gold leaf decorations to the corners and arch, signed to the centre Wm Hutchinson Retford.

Finely fretted blue steel hands.

Original cast iron weight and brass bob pendulum.

The well made fully restored 30 hour movement, striking the hours on a single bell, expertly restored by our FBHI & Clockmakers Company awarded horologist to the highest level with a 2 year mechanical guarantee.
