The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1880s.
The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 42mm diameter excluding the stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for Birmingham 1885, with a maker's mark for the silversmiths Louis Weill and Henry Harburg. The front and sides of the case are in good condition with just the odd minor mark. There are a couple of indentations to the case back.

The glass lens is in good condition.
The enamel dial is in lovely condition. The hands are initially adjusted by way of the pin set button.
The watch comes on a beautiful albertina with rope twist detail, a seven strand tassel and lovely embellishments.
