Gents Ww2 1940s Omega Wrist Watch

1920 - 1940
Description

A WW2 era gents Omega wrist watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, calibre 30T2, which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two minutes over 24 hours. The movement is signed Omega, Swiss, 15 Jewels and it has the serial number 9,710,665 which dates it back to the early 1940s.

The watch measures 32mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case has the odd mark but overall the condition is very nice for such an early piece. The inside of the snap-on case back has the Omega triangular stamp. The winding crown is a later replacement.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is in lovely condition; it appears to have been professionally refinished at some stage. Blued steel hands, subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
