Gents 1950s Solo 15 Hand Winding Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A gents 1950s Solo 15 wrist watch.

The watch has a 15 jewel hand-winding movement which is ticking away nicely and the time keeping is good to within around two to three minutes over 24 hours.

The watch measures 32.2 mm diameter excluding the winding crown and 39.7 mm including the lugs. The gold plated case has light surface marking from use and light wear to the edges although hardly noticeable. The screw-on case back is stamped stainless steel back, dustproof and antimagnetic.

The lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed Solo 15 with Made in France at the bottom. The two tone dial has light surface marking although not over noticeable.

The watch has its original hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
